Senior Façade Engineer, AKT II
Elena is a Senior Façade Engineer at AKT II, with over seven years’ experience delivering complex envelope designs across the UK and internationally. Since joining the practice in 2019, she has worked on a range of commercial and residential projects, with a particular focus on building physics, environmental performance, and sustainable design integration.
She specialises in applying building physics principles to enhance internal comfort and optimise carbon performance, while maintaining high aesthetic standards. Her experience spans both new-build and refurbishment schemes, supporting façade detailing, coordination, and the delivery of energy-efficient solutions.
Her recent work includes the LSE Firoz Lalji Global Hub and the Baker Street scheme in London, alongside mixed-use developments in Eastern Europe and wider experience across complex urban housing projects. She is currently involved in the Whitworth Street residential high-rise development in Manchester.
