Elena Seghezzi is a building Engineer-architect; after PhD at Politecnico di Milano, Elena began the academic career focusing on digitalization of construction sector, investigating the application of BIM based methodologies and Decision Support Systems to increase productivity and quality of public construction processes, with a focus on public tender management. She is currently Adjunct Professor of LABORATORY OF TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE at Politecnico di Milano.
In 2022 she joined Colombo Costruzioni, one of Italy’s most prominent general contractors, where she currently holds the role of Head of Technical Office. In a close cooperation with other company departments, she is focused on smoothing the implementation of digitalization, setting procedures and workflows to support the adoption of a BIM-based approach, with the goal of facilitating the interaction between office and site.
