Emir Pekdemir is a leader in façade analytics at BuroHappold where he has spent the last 10 years of his career providing integrated design solutions for healthier, high-performance buildings. With a technical background in architecture and architectural engineering, he uses advanced building simulation tools to successfully design projects with dynamic and passive façades; ensuring those solutions work in tandem with high-performance MEP systems to provide superior indoor environmental air quality. As an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) and LEEP AP BD+C, he is skilled in dynamic energy and airflow modeling, hygrothermal modeling, daylight/glare simulations and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Emir is a professor at Pratt Institute and is an active speaker regionally and globally as well as guest lecturing at multiple universities.
