Enrique Goberna Pérez is a civil engineer specialising in foundations and structures from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. His professional experience focuses on the design of unique structures.

During the first ten years of his career, he worked for architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, participating in international projects such as the roof of the Olympic velodrome in Athens (2004), the twin cable-stayed bridges in Reggio Emilia, Italy (2007), and the cable-stayed bridge at l’Assut de l’Or in Valencia (2008). In 2012, he joined schlaich bergermann partner (sbp), first in Stuttgart and, since 2020, as director of the Madrid branch, leading notable projects in Spain and other countries such as the roof of the Krasnodar Stadium (Russia, 2015), the roof and façade of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid (Spain, 2017), the Roig Arena multifunctional building in Valencia (Spain, 2025), the stress ribbon pedestrian and cycle bride in Vinaroz (Spain, 2025) and the roof of the Nou Mestalla in Valencia (Spain, scheduled for 2027).
