
Director, Eraclis Papachristou Architects
Eraclis Papachristou was born in Nicosia in 1972. He studied Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 1995, and earned his M.Arch in Architectural Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in 1996. He is a member of ETEK and the Cyprus Architects Association, where he served for many years as vice president.
In 1998 he founded ” Eraclis Papachristou Architects’ in Nicosia. The practice handles a formidable portfolio of projects from architectural design & procurement to supervision and coordination of construction work.
He has won 27 awards in Cypriot and European competitions, including 14 first prizes.
Eraclis Papachristou received the Cyprus State Architecture Prize three times, including for the University of Cyprus Sports Facilities (2010), the EAC Regional Offices in Paphos (2013), and Winery V&V Lampadistis (2022).
Seven completed buildings designed by Eraclis represented Cyprus in the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.
In 2006 he participated in the representation of Cyprus for the Venice Biennale and in 2008 participated in the Festival of Architecture in London.
