Prinicpal, Eller + Eller Architekten
Erasmus fell in love with India, this incredible country, when he travelled there for the first time in 1999. He promised himself that one day he would design a project there.Born in 1965, Erasmus comes from a family of architects. His parents originally came from the Austrian mountains. His father later became a professor at RWTH Aachen University and founded the Eller Moser Walter architectural firm in Düsseldorf in 1964. In 1997, Erasmus took over the management of the office, which was then called Eller + Eller. Erasmus Eller has been the sole managing director and design principal since 2003.
Over the course of its 60-year history, the office has designed and built long-lasting icons such as the Parliament Building in Düsseldorf, the Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin, the German Historical Museum in Berlin (in close collaboration with I.M. Pei) and the Chocolate Museum in Cologne. It has also designed numerous headquarters for major German corporations such as Siemens, BASF, Bayer, Daimler and BMW.
