Principal, DeSimone
Federico Balestrazzi, a civil engineer specializing in designing and constructing cladding systems and complex façades, is pivotal in leading projects for DeSimone Consulting Engineering from the firm’s Miami office. His 24 years of experience in building enclosures and products includes an extensive background in the design, testing, manufacture, estimating, and installation across project types.
Federico’s façade engineering experience features the World Trade Center Tower 7 and the Interactive Corporation in NYC; the1 Hotel and the W Hotel in South Beach; the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in Fort Lauderdale and the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach; and both 33 Arch Street and the new wing at the MFA in Boston.
Federico earned an MS in Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, a BS in Industrial Design from Architecture School at Politecnico di Milano in Italy, and an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He’s is a member of the ASCE, SEI, and ICRI.
