Francesca graduated from the University of Genova, Italy, in 1998 with a Degree in Architecture. In 2001, Francesca won a scholarship to study for a PhD at Politecnico di Milano, where her degree thesis was on the development of glass and façade technology in architecture.
During her years of study and collaboration with academia, Francesca has remained actively engaged as a practising architect, working both freelance and for practices in Italy and Spain. Built projects with which Francesca was involved range from interior design to urban planning andlarge scale building projects.
In 2004, Francesca obtained her PhD with her primary thesis on the development of glass and façade technology in architecture. Thereafter, she chose to specialise in the field of façade design and has worked with international consultants in both Europe and Asia. Her portfolio of work includes a number of prestigious projects in the Middle East, Europe and Asia with high profile architects including Foster + Partners, Renzo Piano and Pelli Clarke Pelli.
Francesca is an Associate in the Inhabit Hong Kong office and is responsible for leading and coordinating projects in Hong Kong and the South East Asia region. Her responsibilities also include the promotion and development of Inhabit’s presence in new market areas, with a focus on the requirement of complex technical expertise. With her academic experience, she has adopted a mentoring role in the continual development of the team through technical learning and inspiring multidisciplinary research.
