Gary Clark is an architect with a passion for creating architecture and places that deliver a truly sustainable future. He believes to achieve a sustainable architecture a continual knowledge transfer between practice,research and teaching is required. He has ensured that this continuity has been achieved throughout thiscareer. He taught and researched sustainable architecture at Cambridge, Robert Gordon’s and Edinburgh Universities. His research interests included advanced natural ventilation, adaptive comfort and Post Occupancy Evaluation.
Gary Clark has practiced with a number of influential practices including Hopkins Architects, as a Project Director and sustainability lead, and Bennetts Associates. He joined Wilkinson Eyre Architects in 2014 asAssociate Director and Head of Sustainability. He has delivered a number of high profile projects across several sectors, most notably the new £40m R&D Laboratory building for Sir James Dyson, and a £130m mixed use development within the historic Gasholders at Kings Cross for Argent. Gary’s work has been recognized by many awards, including awards from the Civic Trust and the RIBA.
