Giulia Zarrella is Senior Sales Manager for laser-welded special profiles, with a strong specialization in architectural applications. As part of a dedicated business unit focused on architecture projects, she supports architects and façade engineers in the design and realization of distinctive buildings.
Montanstahl was founded in 1983 in Stabio, Switzerland, and today ranks among the world’s leading companies in the production of custom-tailored special profiles in steel and stainless steel. Steel profiles are extremely versatile and are used across a wide range of sectors, from high-end architectural projects to industrial equipment designed to operate in extremely hot, cold, or corrosive environments.
In 2006, a spin-off company was established within the group with the aim of promoting visually striking steel profiles in high-end commercial and residential architecture. The development of in-house laser welding technology played a key role in introducing sharp-corner steel profiles to the architectural world. Today, laser-welded profiles are used as mullions and transoms in hundreds of high-end steel-glass façades, as well as structural design elements in architecturally exposed steel structures.
