Upon graduation from Yale University, Gordon joined Albro Metal Products Corporation, working in various capacities including those of Draftsman, Shop Mechanic, Field Mechanic, Plant Engineer, Field Superintendent, Estimator, Chief Engineer, Vice President and President. He worked in virtually every capacity within the organization, gaining experience in each facet of the industry.
In September 1975, he decided to open a Consulting Engineering practice, specializing in the exteriors of buildings — walls, windows and roofs of various materials. Gordon H. Smith Corporation is specialises in providing services in specific areas of concern including Investigations; Design and Specification; Submittal Review and Mock-up Testing. In excess of fifty-five years of experience in building enclosure products and systems, Gordon has the background to be uniquely qualified to be of service as an Exterior Walls Consultant.
