Senior Vice President – Design Hudson Yards, The Related Companies
Hagen Scutt is a Senior Vice President of Design & Construction at the Related Companies where he leads the design process from concept through completion at Hudson Yards and other national markets, specializing in best in class, cutting edge placemaking. He joined Related in 2013 and brings over 30 years of design and construction experience in high rise, mixed-use, commercial offices, hotels, laboratories, multifamily housing and institutional projects totaling over 15 million square feet.
At Related, Hagen led the successful execution of award winning 55 Hudson Yards, 35 and 50 Hudson Yards, 300 Lafayette, and repositioned Time Warner Center for Deutsche Bank’s new U.S. headquarters. Currently in New York City he leads the office repositioning of 20 Hudson Yards for Wells Fargo’s headquarters, and 70 Hudson Yards. In Austin, TX, he leads 901 South Congress a mass timber 150k SF office building, the One Lady Bird Lake rental/condominium tower, and 500 South Congress a 6.5 acre 1.3M SF mixed use development.
Prior to joining Related, Hagen was a Senior Design Principal at the boutique design firm Der Scutt Architect leading major projects including 555 Fifth Avenue, IFF World Headquarters, 40 Wall Street, the Reading Public Museum, and Voorhees Hall – NYC College of Technology.
He is a registered architect in the State of New York and Washington DC, holding a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University where he received the William S Downing Prize for Excellence in Advanced Studio design. He has taught architectural design at the New York Institute of Technology.
