Co-Founder, Architecture Dialogue
Harpreet Kaur is the co-founder of Architecture Dialogue, a multidisciplinary architecture and design practice based in Bangalore and Hyderabad, established in 2019 with her partners Sreenath Vinayakumar and Vikram Desai. The practice is grounded in a collaborative, research-driven design process, with a strong emphasis on contextual thinking, material sensibility, and inclusive stakeholder engagement.
Before founding Architecture Dialogue, Harpreet led Purcell UK’s India studio, representing one of the UK’s foremost heritage and conservation practices. During her tenure, she worked on some of the UK’s most iconic historic precincts, including the UK Parliament, Canterbury Cathedral, and Chatham Dockyards. These experiences sharpened her expertise in material conservation, adaptive reuse, and sustainability-led design. Her early professional foundation was built at Ashok Lall Architects, where her appreciation for climate-responsive and socially engaged architecture took root.
Harpreet brings this rich and diverse experience to her work at Architecture Dialogue. She is known for her thoughtful, empathetic, and process-oriented approach to both architecture, conservation and interiors. Her deep interest lies in transforming existing structures—heritage or otherwise—through sustainable, forward-thinking interventions that enhance their performance, relevance, and relationship with communities. She has recently won the JK Cement award for “Designed but not built category” project category for the Solina Silk Factory in Srinagar.
