Henrik Nerlund is an architectural historian and author specializing in urban renewal. He has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, working on change processes and cultural heritage issues, particularly in post-war built environments. Henrik Nerlund is particularly interested in how densification can contribute to better urban environments through clearer planning and understanding of the values of existing buildings. As an author, he has written several books on the development of the Stockholm region from the turn of the 20th century onward and has participated in the creation of both comprehensive plans and architecture programs. Since 2014, Henrik Nerlund has been the secretary and head of office for the Beauty Council, an expert body in Stockholm City that assists politics and administration with advice, primarily on planning and construction issues.
