Huat LIM left for England in the early eighties and then settled in London for the next 10 years. He graduated at the Architectural Association under Prof. Peter COOK and the late Ron HERRON both of Archigram fame and the late Prof. Dr. Gordon PASK. Huat traveled to Nimes to work on La Mediateque de Nimes and then lived in Lyons to work for Francoise Jourda et Gilles Perraudin Associes before returning briefly to Paris and then London. Huat has worked for 10 years for Sir Norman Foster, Stansted Airport being the main project. He also worked for Zaha Hadid for a period and thereafter for Ron Herron at Imagination Limited London where he met with John Randle and Gary White. John helped design and build the extension to Natural History Dinosaur Museum. In Malaysia, Huat was Project Architect for Asia Broadcast Centre for GDP, NTV Studios and Singapore National Library for Dato Dr. Ken YEANG. Huat has been Managing Director for ZLG Design since its inception in 1992. Huat also taught at the Malaya University and ran a discourse vide ADF Design Forum and helped coordinate ADFISS International Summer School Programmes in Kuala Lumpur.
