Country Manager España and Associate Director, Luis Vidal + Architects
Isabel Gil graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Madrid Technical School of Architecture (ETSAM) in 2003 and has been part of the luis vidal + architects team since it was founded in 2004. Three years later, she was promoted to Associate Director. In 2013, she managed the opening of the luis vidal + architects studio in Chile and currently, she directs large-scale projects from headquarters in Spain.
She has extensive experience in designing complex architecture and has specialized in health infrastructure. Among her work in this sector, the following hospitals are highlights: Can Misses in Ibiza, Álvaro Cunqueiro in Vigo, or Quillota Petorca and Marga Marga in Chile. Currently, she is managing three health centre projects in the Dominican Republic, as well as the renovation of the Quirón Hospital in Alcorcón.
She has also participated, coordinated, or directed all kinds of projects, such as the Heathrow Terminal 2; the Zaragoza airport; the Alameda Masterplan in Santiago, Chile; the Palmas Altas Campus in Sevilla; Loyola University in Sevilla; and an experimental housing plan in Japan. In regard to other kinds of projects, her experience in the office sector stands out for having managed a business park of Julián Camarillo, as well as the renovation and expansion of the new Colón Towers in Madrid.
