Jack Ayre

Associate Director, AHMM

Since joining AHMM in 2007, Jack has been involved in a variety of projects in both the UK and USA. Jack’s strong visual communication skills combine with his consistent eye for detail to bring clarity to complex ideas. He was a key member of the Google King’s Cross team, where those skills were put to good effect in communicating a complex project brief to a wide range of stakeholders. Jack has also worked on several projects in the United States, leading the design team and providing a key client contact despite geographic separation. Key USA projects include AELP Fitness Centre (a loose fit health and fitness facility that is now home to the Oklahoma City Ballet), AELP Childcare Centre, a pre-school nursery facility for a new campus, and Jesus Saves residence, a former industrial building reinvented as a two-family dwelling on Oklahoma’s urban edge. In the UK, recent projects include 10 Lewis Cubitt Square and 1 Keskidee Square, a pair of mixed-use developments within King’s Cross Central that include office, retail, and a 600-seat theatre, and a new office building at 8 Union Square in Wood Wharf, along with leading work on a range of projects of various scales across London and in Edinburgh. In addition to working on significant architectural projects, Jack also worked closely with Chickenshed, an inclusive theatre and learning organisation, to develop a strategy for growth and increased community engagement at their North London campus. All these projects deliver memorable architecture in a wide variety of contexts, sectors and locations.
