Senior Group Leader, Sherwin-Williams Coatings

With 20 years of experience working with high-performance metal coatings at Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings (formerly Valspar), Jay Register serves as Senior Group Project Leader for the Applied Science and Development Group in its Garland, Texas Coil and Extrusion Coatings Laboratory. Jay’s group supports Sherwin-Williams’ 70% PVDF Fluropon® high-performance coating systems globally. Jay has played a key role in the development of new and innovative coating systems formulated to provide aesthetic, performance and sustainability for metal building products. Jay obtained his Master of Science degree in chemistry from Abilene Christian University in 1988.
