Market Field Manager, Sika UK
Jeff Richards is Sika Limited’s Market Field Manager for the Façade and Fenestration team and provides technical support for Sika’s structural adhesives and sealants. He joined Sika in 2004 and has over 40 years’ experience.
With this experience and expertise in curtain walling and façade, Jeff has continued to promote the use of structural glazing and has been involved in providing support for many of London’s most prestigious projects including The Shard, 122 Leadenhall Street ‘Cheesegrater’ and 20 Fenchurch Street ‘Walkie-Talkie’, all structurally glazed with Sika structural sealants.
He continues to work in developing structural glazing as a suitable high performance façade system and has represented the UK/BSI at the CEN committee in writing a European Standards for structural glazing. He has also written a reference document as requested by the London District Surveyors, to harmonise the approach to the use of structurally bonded systems, in conjunction with Stephen Ledbetter of the CWCT.
