Graduate in Architecture, Jesús Román mastered in 2017, in “Fachadas Ligeras” (Light façades) from the ETSAM, Universidad Politécnica in Madrid. Then a postgraduate Course in the Otaniemi School of Architecture in Helsinki. He began work in studios in Madrid alongside the architects J Anaya, A Llano, M Martín Escanciano and JC Sáez Colmenarejo. Subsequently, he worked in collaboration with the architect Lorenzo Fernández Ordóñez on the “Master Plan for the University Campus of Ponferrada”, León; the “Pasarela Abandoibarra”, Bilbao; the “Escultura Tindaya” by Chillida, in Fuerteventura. From 1998 to 2000 he worked as an architect in the engineering firm HCC.
As a Project Director in the Rafael de La-Hoz Architects studio since 2000, he is responsible for the design, development and coordination of projects and construction supervision. The most important projects he has directed are: Master Plans: “Old Brewery”, Warsaw, Poland; “Diversia” and “Ciudad de las Comunicaciones”, Madrid. Tall Buildings: “Tour Rabat”, Rabat, Morocco (under construction); “Tour O”, Casa Finance City, Casablanca, Morocco; “General Court Extension”, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; “Smart City-Rompetrol”, Bucharest, Rumania; “Torres de Hércules”, Cádiz, Spain. Corporate Headquarters: “Campus Repsol”; “Distrito C-Telefónica”; “Ciudad Renault” (project); all in Madrid. Work on Historic Buildings: “Hotel Ritz” and “Hotel Capitol”, both in Madrid.
