Johann Mordhorst

Principal, Kieran Timberlake

Johann Mordhorst is a principal at KieranTimberlake where since 2005, he has worked on a broad range of project types and scales for private, institutional, and government clients. He approaches design as a process of exploration towards discovering and celebrating what makes each client, site, and project unique.

Recently Johann led the renovation and addition to the historic Folger Shakespeare Library, a national landmark building designed by noted architect Paul Cret in Washington, D.C. He is currently guiding KieranTimberlake’s team designing the New Embassy Compound for the U.S. missions to Belgium and the European Union in Brussels. Johann earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
