Senior Partner and Deputy Head of Studio, Foster + Partners
Jonathan Parr is a joint deputy head of studio, graduating from Newcastle University in 1987 with first-class honours and joined Foster + Partners in 1992.
He was based in the Hong Kong office for many years and has worked extensively in Asia, notably Malaysia and China. He has over 30 years of project experience working on signature airports, complex mixed use, infrastructure, high-end residential, offices and luxury hotels. Jonathan’s most recent projects have included high and low rise mixed use developments in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Jakarta, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Jonathan’s range of project scales is extensive as whilst he is currently engaged in both the shell and core plus interior design of the signature high-rise Lusail Towers in Doha, Qatar, which comprises 4 high rise towers and 14 lower rise podium buildings with a combined total area of more than 1 million square metres currently under construction and due for completion to coincide with the World Cup events in 2022, he has also lead the completion of a bespoke crafted private residence in Hong Kong.
