In 1978, he joined Wong Tung International as Design Architect and stayed on for six years. M. Moiser Associates, Ltd. invited Mr. Recio to join the firm as an Associate in 1984 and subsequently accepted an offer of partnership in 1986.
Ar. Bong Recio co-founded Recio+Casas in 1988 in Hong Kong and moved back to the Philippines in 1992. Since then, he has been responsible for the design of major projects in Metro Manila such as The Church of the Gesu in Ateneo. The Church was subsequently awarded the first Haligi ng Dangal award for Architecture by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2017.
