Juan Cerda Costabal

Juan (1980) is an architect from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2005), where he awarded the FADEU Prize (best student of the Faculty) and Excellence Award. He studied sustainable design and acoustics at the UNSW of Sydney, Australia (2002). Honored as Master’s degree in Architecture, University of Porto, Portugal (2018).

Since 2006 he is partner architect of ELEMENTAL, a Do Tank focusing on projects of public interest and social impact, including housing, public space, infrastructure and transportation. His work includes a wide range of projects types and locations, from housing and institutional buildings to city planning.

Professor of the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Structures, Architecture Studio Workshop; Building and technologies; and Sustainable Design (2004-2012). Member of the jury of Avonni Chile – National innovation Award (2012-2017).
