Karl is trained in both engineering and architecture and has extensive experience working in structural and façade engineering consulting.  His multidisciplinary background provides holistic facade design development opportunities achieved through effective collaboration and cross-fertilisation across industries, disciplines and organisations.

As a Mott MacDonald Built Environment sector executive and a leader in the global façade consulting discipline, he is involved in major projects across Australasia and South-East Asia.    His teams open opportunities to help deliver appropriate design/delivery/procurement solutions.  Karl is sought after for strategic insights on complex projects taking on advisory consulting roles where he seeks to facilitate early decisions around strategic direction to deliver elegant solutions appropriate to the specific constraints and available skills and systems.

Karl has been involved in many on New Zealand’s large and complex façade projects including; Commercial Bay, New Zealand International Convention Centre, The Auckland Art Gallery, Deloittes Building, Wynyard Quarter Buildings, 85 Customs St, Len Lye Gallery, and in Christchurch the new Library and the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, and in Wellington Deloittes and Bowen Campus.
