Kevin Smith is a Board Director for the UK’s leading envelope specialist,Prater Ltd, a Lindner Group company. Now approaching 20 years working within the construction industry, he began his career with Prater in 2006 as an Estimator, and has gained a wealth of experience, knowledge and capability when it comes to successful façade construction.
Throughout his 12 years at Prater, he has held a number of senior, client facing roles within the Sales & Estimating structure, demonstrating the company’s on going commitment to the development and training of its people. This has, and continues to be, fundamental to the specialist contractor’s success and he now works closely with junior members of staff, supporting their own personal growth.
Kevin plays an integral role in the Prater Senior Executive Team, which provides stability and focus to drive the business forward, coordinating a range of sites and teams around the countrywho work with clients at a local level
Working on a spectrum of high profile and complex projects throughout the UK, Kevin has unrivalled experience, having helped to deliver projects right across the broad spectrum of Prater’s multi-disciplinary capability – from roofing, cladding, hard metals and glazing.
With a project portfolio that includes the prestigious Embassy Gardens on London’s Southbank; 101 Embankment Greengate, in Manchester; the iconic Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and the inspiring Olympic Stadium and Velodrome, Kevin’s knowledge and passion for façade solutions have become invaluable to the Prater team.
