Kevin specialised in architectural illumination design upon graduation, furthering his lifelong passion & fascination with Light. His 37 years experience in the art & science of Light has seen him responsible for some of the most highly creative & innovative lighting designs on numerous projects around the world.
Prior to establishing DPL, he was a founder of iLAB Sydney & Singapore, a highly successful independent lighting design consultancy. His vast knowledge and highly tuned objectivity gained through empirical observation, stems from his early experiences with Lighting Design Partnership (Edinburgh, London & Sydney offices), Lam Partners Inc (Lighting Architects), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA and collaborations with renowned pioneers of the lighting design profession, lighting architects William M. C. Lam and Jonathan Speirs.
A founding Adjunct Lecturer in ‘Specialist Diploma, Lighting Design’ at Temasek Polytechnic School of Design, he is also a past visiting Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University, Duncan of Jordanstone School of Architecture, Dundee and in ‘Light & Lighting’ at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
