Manuela de Micheli

Partner, Studio Transit

Born in Rome in 1968, she graduated in Architecture from Sapienza University of Rome. In 2001, she began collaborating with Studio Transit, where she has been a partner and artistic director since 2007. Over the course of her career, she has worked on major urban regeneration projects, including Eur 23–31 and Baxter Headquarters, developing a design approach that is highly attentive to context and urban transformation processes. She later led the design of the Eur Castellaccio business district, contributing to reshaping the identity of the EUR area through the use of advanced façade systems, as seen in buildings such as ENI Business Unit and Eurohive Business Park. Among her most representative works is the Angelini Headquarters, a complex that engages with the city by reinterpreting pre-existing elements and projecting them into a contemporary dimension through organic forms characterized by strong dynamism. Her residential projects are also noteworthy, including Casal Bertone, Mezzo Cammino and Monti della Breccia, where sustainability, chromatic experimentation and volumetric research contribute to redefining the identity of Rome’s peripheral areas.
