Mark Foster

Director, Allies & Morrison

Mark trained at the Canterbury School of Architecture and the University of Westminster. He joined Allies and Morrison in 2005 and became a Director to the practice in 2015.

Mark has worked on a series of large-scale projects with a particular focus on cladding. His interest in cladding lies both in the technical aspect of its design and in the art and scale involved in its composition, forming one of the most important aesthetic elements of a building.

In the past, Mark acted as Project Architect for the Maurice Wohl Institute for which Allies and Morrison were appointed to design the external envelope. Mark also worked on the New Court Rothchilds Bank in the City of London, working with OMA to develop their existing façade design. More recently, Mark has led the design and delivery of our 100 Bishopsgate scheme which includes a 40 storey tower for Brookfield

Mark is currently leading the cladding packages on the East Bank cultural development in Stratford which includes new buildings for the V&A, UAL, BBC and Sadlers Wells.
