Mark John Fenwick is founding partner of Fenwick Iribarren Architects, a Madrid-based architectural firm with over 35 years of experience. Over the years, the office has grown to become one of the largest architectural practices in Spain, delivering highly distinctive projects both nationally and internationally.

In the past two decades, the firm has specialised in sports architecture, having designed more than 50 stadiums, among them the RCD Espanyol Stadium, which was awarded Sports Venue of the Year 2010, and Best Stadium of Spanish league in 2013, also in Spain the new Valencia CF stadium, about to be restarted with a new project.

Other success includes achieving a “Hat Trick” at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, with three stadiums, the Education City Stadium, first cooled stadium in the world, the Al Thumama Stadium and finally the 974 Stadium, the world’s first fully demountable stadium built with ship containers.
