At the beginning of his career, Massimo Chies worked in the tender department of Permasteelisa and Lindner, two of the largest cladding contractor’s active in the UK market. In 2014, he joined AECOM to support their cost team in the delivery of feasibility studies and cost plans. One of his roles is also to inform quantity surveyors and project managers on the state of the cladding market. He suggests the most suitable contractors in the industry on the basis of the technical challenges of the various projects and the contractors’ workload. The most notable projects Massimo has been involved in since joining AECOM are 33 King William Street, Al Maktoum (Dubai Airport), White Collar Factory, Battersea Power Station Phase 3, Soho Place, Sky Labs, Nova East and the upcoming 1 Undershaft.
