CEO and Founder, Maffeis Engineering
Massimo Maffeis is the CEO and Founder of Maffeis Engineering S.p.A., an international multi-disciplinary engineering firm employing more than 100 professionals, including civil, mechanical, façade and structural engineers, architects, but also technical specialists and in-house software developers. From its Headquarters in Solagna, Italy, Maffeis Engineering supports international offices located in the UK, Russia, Iran, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Hong Kong.
When Massimo established the firm in 2000, his focus was on the lightweight tensile structures, which evolved over the years in cable and special steel structures, façade engineering, ETFE foil systems, timber engineering, retractable mechanical building systems for roofs and steel bridges. His strong educational background and comprehensive technical experience allowed the firm to deal with a wide range of project types, starting from the conceptual stage up to preliminary and final detailed design phase, as well as the follow up on-site construction activities.
Maffeis Engineering became a leader in the field of full engineering package, regarding especially stadia, stations and airports. Among these, the projects deserving a special mention are the Al Wahda Arches, and Al Wakrah and Khalifa International Stadium (built specifically for the FIFA World Cup in 2022) in Doha.
