
Head of Façade Engineering, ESA Engineering
Matteo joined ESA Engineering in 2024 and today leads the Facade Engineering Department, guiding the firm’s technical development and international activities. He graduated from the University of Pisa with a thesis on the facades of the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2015, creating the foundation for his specialization in building envelopes. As a Chartered Engineer in Italy and NFRC Certified Simulator, Matteo has worked across several companies on iconic international projects, including the Columbia Business School and the American Museum of Natural History in New York, as well as major developments in the USA, UK, Middle East, and Italy.
He is also involved in European research initiatives focused on integrating innovative facade products and technologies, reinforcing his commitment to advancing high‑performance, sustainable envelope design.
