Architect Director, BDP
Michael Cambden is an Architect Director at BDP, one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary design practices. For the past fifteen years he has focused on the successful design of university buildings and masterplans, has delivered projects in both the UK and China, and now leads BDP’s education and sci-tech projects across the North.
A talented designer and hands-on director, Michael draws on his experience delivering large, high-profile projects to influence early-stage academic briefing and concepts designs, ensuring the architecture respond directly to the client vision. He has a detailed understanding of contemporary science and education environments and is focused on creating innovative, sustainable buildings that inspire learning communities and facilitate world-class research. Michael has recently delivered projects for Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Warwick.
