Midori is a design partner at PLP Architecture in London. She has over 20 years’ professional experience designing complex office, residential, academic, institutional and master planning projects across the UK, the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Midori is leading the master design, placemaking strategy and architectural design for the Uchisaiwaicho 1-Chome District redevelopment in Tokyo, a large life-centric district centred around connectivity and co-creation. Previously, Midori led the design of the Edge, a multi-award-winning intelligent and sustainable icon in Amsterdam created for Deloitte. She is a founding member of PLP/LAB, the practice’s in-house interdisciplinary research and consulting unit which challenges tomorrow’s urban questions and innovates from city, human and digital perspectives. Midori is also leading PLP’s Japanese presence together with Raita Nakajima, the practice’s permanent representative in Tokyo.
