Principal, Beyer Blinder Belle
Miguel Angel Maldonado, AIA, is a principal at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners in New York City. A registered architect, he has led the design of complex civic, residential, and hospitality projects, with a particular focus on the expressive and technical role of facades. He brings a collaborative and forward-looking approach to design, exploring how geometry, light, and materiality can transform building envelopes into dynamic, responsive surfaces that balance aesthetic ambition with performance and constructability. A two-time AIA award recipient, he has been recognized by both the Washington, DC, chapter for unbuilt work and the Puerto Rico chapter for research. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Architecture with a concentration in real estate development from The Catholic University of America. He joined BBB in 2012.
