Principal Certification Engineer - Façades & Structures, Warringtonfire

Dr. Mostafa Jafarian is a Principal Certification Engineer of Façade and Structures at Warringtonfire, specializing in structural fire protection and façade behaviour under fire. He obtained a bachelor degree in civil engineering, an MSc in Structural Steel Design at Imperial college London in Structural design, and PhD in Structural Fire Engineering at the University of Manchester working on a European funded project investigating the robustness of steel and composite connections in a fire.
After obtaining a PhD, he worked as Research Associate for about two years at the University of Manchester developing a method to specify intumescent coating for concrete-filled tubular columns. He joined Warringtonfire in 2016 and is now a Principal Certification Engineer, providing clients with advice about performance of various structural fire protection systems and façade systems under fire conditions, and methods of improvement. He is a member various British Standards Institution (BSI) committees related to structural and facades under fire and also is collaborating with Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) as a part of different task groups.
