Murray joined Squire & Partners in 1995 and has spent over 25 years successfully delivering prestigious commercial, residential and hotel projects. Since becoming a Partner in 2000 he has led the design of notable projects such as award-winning Noah’s Ark, Art’otel in Shoreditch, The Broadway in Victoria, Landmark Manchester, One St John’s Wood and Shell’s new HQ on the Southbank.
Murray has a particular interest in masterplanning, bringing the practice’s design ethos to a variety of sites in the UK and internationally. He has been responsible for masterplan work in Turkey, Russia, Belfast, Manchester and within the London Boroughs of Kensington, Fulham, Richmond and Barnet.
He is enthusiastic about the shift to BIM, constantly promoting how Revit and other complementary software packages can help clients engage with the design and improve the efficiency of drawing production and coordination.
A regular contributor to a range of industry events, Murray has taken part in roundtable and panel discussions for Architecture Today, London Craft Week and Place North West. He has guest lectured at the Oxford Architecture Society, served on an Open Jury at the University of East London and acted as a portfolio judge for University of Westminster.
