Niccolò Baldassini

Niccolo Baldassini is a technical director of B+G Paris. He is a structural designer with interdisciplinary knowledge based on the comprehension of advanced technology and materials. His main fields of activity are lightweight structures, non-conventional structures, and free-form transparent skins and facades. He has a Master in Aerospace Engineering (Cranfield University) specializing in composite materials and Finite Element Analysis. He also has a Degree in Architecture (Florence University). He joined B+G after 15 years in RFR as Managing Director. Throughout his career, he has cooperated with worldwide known architects such as Atelier Jean Nouvel, Shigeru Ban, Renzo Piano Building, Kengo Kuma, Wilmotte, and SANAA on well-known projects such as TGI in Paris, La Samaritaine, La Cité Musicale. Within B+G, he recently completed the main entrance Façade of Moma New York, and he is completing the façade of large office operations in Paris, cooperating with Chartier Dalix. He is also cooperating with Exploration Architecture and the artist Xavier Vilhain on a winning scheme for a footbridge in Switzerland. Alongside his profession, he is a critic specialised in engineering and technology. He has written several articles and texts for worldwide publications, catalogues, and architectural magazines, such as l’Arca, Domus, and Detail. He has been teaching in different schools of architecture since 2001.
