Digital Practice Leader - VIC/SA, Aurecon
Nick Williams is Digital Practice Leader for Aurecon’s offices in Melbourne and Adelaide. He originally trained as an architect, studying in Australia and the UK and later attaining a PhD from RMIT University. He has over 12 years’ experience in consulting practice, as an architect and in consulting on the application of digital technologies for design and fabrication. He has also been as a research academic, leading cross-disciplinary teams on applied research to explore performance in the built environment through prototypes.
At Aurecon, Nick oversees the local implementation of Aurecon’s Digital Strategy, driving consistency in the use of digital tools on projects, to developing local initiatives to create custom tools and workflows. He also leads Aurecon’s Computational Design (CoDe) network, connecting staff across offices who are creating and customising digital tools to enhance their workflows.
