Nita Kembhavi completed Architecture from BVB College of Engineering & Technology Hubli and her Master’s in Industrial Architecture from the prestigious Sir JJ College of Architecture , Mumbai.
She is a partner at Kembhavi Architecture Foundation founded in 1972 by Sharad and Nalini Kembhavi
She co- heads the Bangalore division along with her husband Indrajit Kembhavi .The firm has provided consultancy to over 2000 clients and has won numerous commissions across various spheres of the construction industry, including malls, hotels, corporate offices, transport terminals, health care facilities, cultural centers, townships and private residences. KAF has to its credit an ongoing project portfolio spread over 30million sft.
Some prestigious client of KAF include Tata housing , Puravankara, Prestige group, Ozonegroup, Century group, Akshaya pvt ltd , Landmark construction , General motors, Indian Railways, HUDCO, KHB, Manikchand group, SBIOA etc to name a few .
KAF has won multiple accolades & awards and more recently the firm has been recognized as “Top 100 architects in India” by architect and interiors India Magazine & one of “India’s 100 most influential” firms by commercial design magazine.
KAF also won the “ Architect of year , South” award at the Indian properties awards 2015 and was also awarded for “ Outstanding Concrete Structure” for the township- Provident Welworth city by Puravankara” to name a few.
Kembhavi Architecture Foundation is also committed to sustainability, developing eco-sensitive to environmentally sustainable systems. Apart from the profession Nita Kembhavi is extremely passionate towards art wherein she is also currently preparing for an exhibition of her works “Man , city and nature in the Indian context”.
