Peter Rutii is the Chief Design Officer and an advisory member of DLR Group’s Board of Directors. Hei directs all aspects of DLR Group’s integrated design practice and guides the firm in fulfilling its promise to elevate the human experience through design. He is deeply committed to fulfilling the firm’s climate and environment commitments through innovative, functional, and beautiful design. A recognized expert in the design of performing art centers and cultural institutions, Rutti has been instrumental in leading the global growth of DLR Group’s Cultural+Performing Arts practice since joining as a principal in 2012. Based in Phoenix, he was appointed Chief Design Officer in 2022 and Managing Principal in 2024. His dedication to design education spans more than two decades, during which he has served as a guest juror at leading schools across the West Coast and Southwest and as a faculty associate in the Design School at Arizona State University.
