He was also a Technical Advisor for façade integration at Ng Teng Fong Hospital. He is an adjunct lecturer at Dept of Architecture, National University of Singapore where taught façade technology as an advanced architecture technology for more than 18 years. In 1985, he was a speaker at the first ever Curtain Wall Conference organised by CIDB (now known as BCA), where he spoked about the importance of façade specification as a critical tool in façade engineering and design. He made a rallying call at this seminar for the industry to develop national standards for curtain wall. He then went on to volunteer himself in several committees drafting national standards for curtain walls such as SS 381:1996 (Curtain Wall Testing Standard) and CP 96:2002 Code of Practice for Curtain Wall) and the recently published SS654:2020 (Code of Practice for Curtain Wall).
