R.VILLAROSA • ARCHITECTS is an architectural firm engaged extensively in Design, Consultation, Construction Support Services, and Construction Management. It was established in 1972 and from a modest one-man professional practice, and has grown into a partnership with personnel currently numbering more than forty, with a host of engineering/specialty consultants.
Backed by twenty years of skills development and experience, thirty two years of expertise in professional practice, and supported with Comprehensive Engineering Services, the firm has been engaged in a wide scope of projects ranging from simple structures to more complex projects such as Hotels; Townhouses; Multi-Storey Residential Development; Commercial and Institutional Structures; Socio-Cultural and Community Centers; Industrial, Resort and Complex Sites.
During the period wherein the firm was known as the private professional practice of ROGELIO G. VILLAROSA, it was named R. G. VILLAROSA • ARCHITECT and has established its reputation for functional design and fine workmanship in such projects as: Silahis International Hotel (now Grand Boulevard Hotel), Philippine Village Hotel Extension, Puerto Azul Clubhouse, Kings Court I Office Building, BPI – Family Bank Main Office Building, and the National Book Store chain of establishments and buildings to name a few.
In 1985, the firm became a professional partnership with architect son ROY A. VILLAROSA, and was henceforth known as R. VILLAROSA • ARCHITECTS (RVA). By this time the firm has already extended design consultancy and service to clients in Brunei and Mainland China. The firm has designed over a hundred private residences most of which are located in the country’s most prestigious communities such as; Forbes Park, Alabang, Dasmariñas Village, Greenhills, Corinthian Gardens and Valle Verde.
One of the more recent major projects of the firm just completed is the GMA Network Offices and Studios which is one of the top TV Network company in the country. RVA also designed the Tektite Towers Building in Pasig City, one of the biggest private office building complex in the country with a total floor area of approximately 250,000 square meters. Tektite Towers also houses the Philippine Stock Exchange Centre. To name a few of our completed projects are the EDSA Shangri-La Plaza Hotel, the Shangri-La Plaza Shopping Mall, in Mandaluyong City and Gramercy Residences 74storey building, one of the tallest structures in the Philippines.
For several years, R. Villarosa • Architects has been named as one of BCI Asia’s Top Ten Architects of the Philippines for the years 2005-2009, 2011 to 2013 and 2016-2017. This award is bestowed BCI Asia Publications in recognition of the market leaders in the design industry of the built environment.
