Roger is an architect who owned his own firm in Canada and eventually came to Malaysia back in 1997, just prior to the economic crisis. Roger has worked in the Malaysian and SE Asian markets, where he brings more than 35 years of Construction, Design and Project Management experience.
Roger has worked on the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL), attaining Platinum Green Building Index (GBI) status, adopting new technologies never used in Malaysia.
More recently, working in collaboration with RPM, Roger was the Employer’s Representative for HSBC, the largest global bank to deliver their Malaysian Headquarters with the development of a Smart/Environmental Building in Malaysia’s Tun Razak Exchange, with a LEED – Gold Designation.
In relation to this session, the HSBC enclosure is a double glazed, triple low-E façade, which has provided an opportunity for the Client to adopt one of the 1st high rise use for a chilled beam system, which is extremely energy efficient.
Roger currently serves on a volunteer basis as President Emeritus for the Malaysia Canada Business Council, having previously served as President in the promotion of business development between Canada and Malaysia for over 18 years. He received the Canadian Governor General’s Award for this commitment.
