Head of Product Sustainability, Schüco International
After studying Materials Engineering and majoring in metal forming technology Roman Kordtomeikel started his PhD in the field of production engineering with focus on sheet metal forming. Topics he dealt with were new technologies in the field of prototyping and small batch production as well as digital process planning, FE simulation of forming processes, feasibility analyses and technology assessments.
Together with the team he led, consisting of other PhDs, technicians and students, he realized agile prototyping as well as R&D projects with leading OEMs and their suppliers in the automotive, aerospace, medical technology and architecture/façade sectors.
Facades have led his way to Schüco International KG where he started as a Project Manager at the Project Management Office dealing with strategic and cross-functional topics. Since April 2023 Roman Kordtomeikel is Head of Product Sustainability striving to further decrease the environmental impact of Schüco’s products.
