Rose Njumwa is a Senior Cost and Commercial Manager at MaceYMR – Kenya. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at the same institution. Rose is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a Registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) in Kenya.
With over 13 years of experience in the construction industry, Rose has led cost and contract management across a wide range of sectors including mixed-use developments, commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and infrastructure. Her expertise includes cost estimation, value engineering, tender documentation, financial appraisals, and final account preparation. She is recognized for her strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and her ability to deliver projects that balance cost, quality, and sustainability. Rose currently leads multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration and timely delivery of complex construction projects.
In addition to her technical and leadership roles, Rose serves as a Wellbeing Ambassador within her organization, actively promoting health and wellbeing initiatives among employees and fostering a supportive workplace culture.
