Ruth Williams

Building Performance Lead NZ, Aecom

Ruth is a building performance lead with 20 plus years of global experience in the environmental impact of façades. Her career began in the UK in building services engineering and she specialises in the indoor environment; building for occupants; and the use of passive engineering to provide resource and energy efficient, robust, durable and function driven design.

Connecting ideas across technologies and disciplines allows Ruth to deliver insight when answers are needed, sometimes before there are even questions. Ruth wants you to get more for less, and her desire to seek options and test ideas is matched by a desire to see the results in action and outcomes achieved in operation.

Ruth has diverse façade experience across a range of building sectors and continents in some of the world’s largest and smallest buildings. Her passion is for buildings that work; using pragmatic and sustainable design that performs dynamically in the environment, and proactively for occupants and those investing in the long term.
