Sameer Kumar is a Principal of Techne. With over 20 years of experience as an architect and a façade specialist, Sameer has distinguished himself as an emergent leader at the nexus of architectural design, engineering, fabrication, and material and process innovation. Through a critical balancing of craft, climate, and comfort, he creates sustainable and timeless solutions to complex design problems in the pursuit of a humanist vision of architecture.
Through a continuous engagement with academia spanning over fifteen years, Sameer has brought his passion for comprehensive and complete design study to graduate students at Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Pratt Institute. His experience designing building enclosures is founded upon a diverse and extensive career working with firms like FTL, Heingtes, KPF, and SHoP, where he has successfully participated in numerous prominent projects across the world.
