Sebastian Claussnitzer is an Associate at BIG’s New York office. He has extensive architectural experience with a range of commercial and residential projects in New York City, California, China, and Germany. Sebastian has expertise in strategic design and computation; he has taught advanced scripting and research methodologies as a Research Consultant for Harvard University as well as presented at various conferences, including SimAUD, ASHRAE/IBPSA-USA, ACADIA and Thornton Tomasetti AEC Technology Symposium. Sebastian studied at the Architecture Department at RWTH-Aachen University in Germany, and as an interdisciplinary student in the College of Architecture, the Department of Computer Science, and the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
